About Joy

Joy (aka JoJo) is a dynamic visual storyteller residing in Los Angeles. Her love of typography, color, photography, and illustrations enables her to create eye-catching designs for both the print and digital world. Joy's passion for design (specifically magazines) started at an early age. She would often have to explain to her mother why there were multiple stacks of magazines growing in each corner of her room.

With over 20 years of design experience, Joy is conceptual with a deep understanding of the client narrative, brand requirements, and managing the creative process. She is a strategic collaborator, passionate about using compelling visuals and messaging to build brands and publishing platforms into high-impact sources for engagement.

She has been responsible for handling the supervision of the overall strategic vision, direction and design of a range of projects across print and digital including; specializing in custom publishing and editorial layout design, corporate collateral, digital banner ads, infographics, social media graphics and email campaigns. With the understanding of user-centric design principals, she designs UX/UI of fully interactive and responsive websites, robust prototyping, wireframes and app mockups.

Joy occasionally guest teaches design classes with emphasis on the importance of typography in design and brand marketing.
